Real California April 76 Posted January 13, 2018 Man am I tired. Before surgery I was somewhat active. I hated sitting around the house. Now I'm exhausted all the time. How did you guys combat this? UghSW: 366CW: 340GW1: 200RNY Dec 18, 2017!
heatherjudson 62 Posted January 13, 2018 You’re almost through the worst of it! You’re energy level returns (for me about 1 month out). You got this! Surgery 11/27/17HW: 227SW: 221CW: 193GW:
KimTriesRNY 1,853 Posted January 14, 2018 It gets better. I was napping a lot in my earlier post op days. Once you are tolerating a bit more food things will normalize. Hang in there! 2 ValerieZ and orionburn reacted to this
maceyup67 1 Posted January 14, 2018 So I’m guessing the fatigue is from low intake? I’m still preop 1 ValerieZ reacted to this
Sadiebug 206 Posted January 15, 2018 It does get better around 4-6 weeks. But, if you don't start seeing improvements talk to your surgeon or NUT to get advice. I personally had to tweak my Vitamins a little bit before I felt 100%. 1 orionburn reacted to this

It's a major surgery so it's going to slow you down as you heal. But yes, that coupled with low intake makes it all the tougher. Some people seem that they felt up to returning to normal within a few days time, others really needed the 2-4 weeks off before they were back to normal. It wasn't until week 3 where I really felt like I was on the upswing with my energy levels.
