LittleLizzieLilliput 919 Posted January 11, 2018 There are so many possible side effects. But the most important one? Getting super f**king healthy. Sure, I can only eat Pork, chicken and seafood now, can barely eat vegetables, can't eat super rich foods without getting super sick. Let's see, I can only eat 1/4 a cut at a time, I can't guzzle Water, post surgery I had lots of issues. But most went away with healing. You are asking a lot of us to tell you what all the side effects are, there are medical sites that can probably tell you more. But what you REALLY want to know is, did it work for most of us? If you are dedicated to the process and committed to follow the protocol, you have a pretty high chance of being at your goal weight within 12-18 months of the surgery depending on how much you have to lose. 4 bignich, PasadenaMom, Apple203 and 1 other reacted to this

Losebig 508 Posted January 11, 2018 There's a long list, your surgeon probably has one they'll make you sign before surgery. Here's a decent online list from another practice. https://www.ALM.com/weight-loss-surgery-options/vertical-sleeve-gastrectomy/#thesideeffects . Personally the largest side effect I've noticed is lack of appetite, weight loss, some mild mood swings and fatigue :-) You probably want to ask about complications and complication rates at your specific practice as well, those should be enlightening and you can talk about your personal risk factors for them with the team since they know the situation and should have lots of experience. MowryRocks 679 Posted January 11, 2018 My worst side effects have been uncontrollable belching (which eased after about 3 months post op) and Constipation. While they seem minor. The constipation is/was severe. 1 BigTink2LilTink reacted to this

Ugh mine too, the belching is horrific, I’m not meeting my Water requirements during the week because I refuse to drink at work at the possibility that someone might hear me. That and the gurgling in the throat. Does it completely go away? 1 logicwand reacted to this
