Gnat 15 Posted January 10, 2018 Anyone else’s stomach make fantastical new noises post operation? Just wondering if this is the new normal or if I should be concerned. I’m 4 weeks post-op and on advanced purées. Following all the rules carefully. On a side note my family is getting a real kick out of my stomach noises, which sound like a gurgling Chewbacca and/or predator. Not joking. 1 AB2B reacted to this
SIPS in Seattle 345 Posted January 11, 2018 Yes hahaha I totally know what you mean. For the first few weeks it was super loud, 5 months out it has settled a bit. But yes, totally normal. 1 Gnat reacted to this

naturallyzee 292 Posted January 11, 2018 Same happened to me. My 4 year old would fall out laughing when she heard it. 10 months out I hear it occasionally when I eat a little too much. HW 330SW 292CW 185GW below 200 1 Gnat reacted to this
orionburn 1,024 Posted January 11, 2018 Almost a year out and still get it on a regular basis. Kind of depends on what I eat. For whatever reason things like yogurt tend to make the most noise. Doesn't stick around for a long but in a quiet office it stands out...lol 1 Gnat reacted to this
Sadiebug 206 Posted January 11, 2018 Yes! I remember about 3 weeks out from surgery I sent an urgent message to one of my friends who had had RnY a few years before me to ask her if it was normal or if I should call my doctor It settled down for me after a few months. 1 Gnat reacted to this

MrsHTX 51 Posted January 11, 2018 I'm 8 months out and mine still makes a lot of noise after I eat. When I'm in quiet places like work I try to eat very light to minimize it. 1 Gnat reacted to this

VSjrs 43 Posted January 14, 2018 I am 2 years post op and sitting at 130 pounds and I still get the weird stomach noises all day everyday.. there’s nothing you can really do to help it unfortunately. They happen when I’m hungry, if I just ate, if I chew gum or drink Water. They are always there. They are caused by excess air in your stomach and kind of go hand in hand with GERD.
