Hi All. I am on my pre op diet and I'm allowed crystal light. Do you think I could just put some ice in the blender and put some crystal light in it and count it as a drink?

That's what I am thinking. It is not the caffeinated kind or anything. I am gonna mix one of my bottle packets with a small amount of Water - then pour that over the ice and start the blender. Ill let you know if it is good, lol,

My tummy is rumbling and liquid is all I can have tonight.

I don’t see why not. Sounds like a pretty good idea to me!

Well i tried it but my little blender is not powerful and couldn't do the ice properly lol.

I have a Nitro Ninja Blender on the way by Thursday. I'll let ya know how that goes.

I will say that the more Water I drink the less hunger pains I have.

Yes, it'll count as a drink for your daily goals. Nothing wrong with making a slushy out of it. I like to mix half ice and milk for my Protein Shakes to give it a milkshake consistency. Kind of acts as a treat from time to time.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
