Colorio66 10 Posted February 20, 2018 Me too! I’m having surgery on the 28th. Geeez! And this liquid diet is a lot harder than I expected. I hate talking to myself- lol! I’m so looking forward to a new way of life! I’m petrified of failing but at the same time I think this is going to be what I needed. 2 SleevedSoulSistah and chabelchavez reacted to this

Stylish_tylish 4 Posted February 20, 2018 No they didn’t tell me anything. I have s follow up visit next week. I will find out then. So I had my follow up visit today. I was told that my hiatal hernia was huge and was up in my diaphragm, and that if he were to perform the gastric sleeve it would be a risk causing it to collapse into my diaphragm. Which would cause nausea & vomiting and the only option for me right now is to do the gastric bypass. He then gave me the option of waiting 6 weeks to get an x ray so they can check to see if the hernia healed properly and if so then I can get the gastric sleeve. Changing4me1 83 Posted February 21, 2018 Guys about how many calories are you getting in one week out I don’t know if I am good or should be getting more. I get between 300 to 400 but I am so exhausted. Pre op diet 188Surgery day 180Cw 172.
sillykitty 10,776 Posted February 21, 2018 I'm 8 days post op, and have been feeling great. But I was a little over confident today. I went to get my nails done, then went to two stores on a long, look at every label, grocery shopping trip. I started to get shaky and sweaty. I apparently am not having quite the miraculous recovery I thought I was! 1 logicwand reacted to this

BrittneyH 45 Posted February 21, 2018 My Nutritionist said to try and get 400-500 calories a day for the first week but mostly to focus on getting in enough liquids. 48-64 Oz of liquids a day. I reached my calorie goal easily when I ate Cream of Wheat. I waited about a week after surgery to eat that though, but it is high in Carbs and calories but delicious and pretty easy to get down. I am now in my second week and am told to get in 500-600 calories a day. My surgery was on 2/12 and I just got back to work today. I work a desk job. I am still in some pain and wish I could take some of my harder meds, but I will wait until after work so that I can stay coherent.
