karak817 6 Posted January 7, 2018 So since i started on this journey i have been getting sick constantly whether it be my diverticulitis, now i have the flu, last week my period was super heavy and wouldnt stop. Had to be put on a male hormone to stop it. Im super scared that god is warning me not to get the surgery. My family is telling me to cancel. My surgery date is jan 25th im cleared for everything. What should i do?
Deleted Account 151 Posted January 7, 2018 This is my personal opinion only. If I was in such doubt, I would wait. Wait another 6 months until you’re sure of your decision. 1 karak817 reacted to this
shedo82773 1,236 Posted January 7, 2018 Only you can decide if you should have WLS. Just know that WLS is a tool. You still need to work with it. Sorry you are having so many doubts. Good Luck in whatever you decide. 1 karak817 reacted to this
Creekimp13 5,840 Posted January 8, 2018 Here's another way to look at it: * You've already had the flu so you won't have to worry about picking it up as much. * Whatever weirdness is going on with your menstruation...endometrial and ovarian cancer risk increases with obesity...the bad period might be God or the universe or whatever telling you to DO the surgery because you carry additional risk by being heavy. * Obese people are more at risk for illnesses of all kinds. If you have problems being sick all the time....staying heavy probably won't help you. Whatever you decide, best wishes. 2 Losingit2018 and karak817 reacted to this
