Frankette 95 Posted January 4, 2018 It has gone by so fast. I was supposed to get my aircast off today at my ortho docs but a blizzard cancelled my appointment. I broke my foot the first day of my preop diet. I was looking forward to being able to move more with the boot removed. My bariatric surgeon seemed a little discouraged last week at my 3 week post op visit that I had only lost 16 pounds. He wants me to lose 10 more pound to be under 200 by the time I see him in 2 more weeks. I'm happy with my loss for 3 weeks. Of course having lower bmi, Im not going to lose 30 or 40 pounds first month along with the limited mobility of a broken foot . I am following the food program to the letter. I am sick of Soups, refried Beans, eggs, Protein Shakes and tuna at this point. I cannot wait to have a fresh spinach salad with grilled chicken and boiled egg on top. Yes I will probably only get to eat 2 bites of it when the time comes... but it shall be glorious. I'm happy I got the surgery. I can't wait to be on regular food in 2 weeks. I can't wait to get cleared to start gym again. 2 Holls06 and bluetink50 reacted to this
bluetink50 8 Posted January 5, 2018 I’m one month post op as well, I’ve lost 24 in one month, I’m happy with my results but since Christmas, I’ve had the flu and today went back to the doctor, I have bronchitis and pneumonia. Just want to feel better so I can taste my food.< br>
orionburn 1,024 Posted January 5, 2018 Congrats to you both! First month is a challange but things will continue to get better and better, and yes being able to change up the diet is a huge boost to morale and mood.
