sleeved2win 79 Posted January 4, 2018 I just had surgery yesterday; everything went smoothly according to my surgeon. Today I'm trying to eat some liquids and with every sip is pain, and if I burp it's excruciating. Is this normal? I'm scared.
XYZXYZXYZ1955 675 Posted January 4, 2018 It sounds like it might be normal, but check with your doctor! Remember that not only did you have surgery on your stomach--which will take time to heal--but you also had a tube down your throat, so that can be left quite sore for a while. Take it slow. But definitely check with your doctor--if it's something out of the ordinary, you'll want it fixed, and if it's normal, you'll feel better knowing that. Best of luck. TexasMommy80 297 Posted January 4, 2018 I just had my gallbladder out (sleeve hopefully in April), and I feel like that. Any movement hurts, although it’s pretty localized to my belly button. We forget that although it is laparoscopic, it is still surgery. 1 niceross reacted to this
Brittanyblue 55 Posted January 4, 2018 I talked to my NUT and she said it's normal. She said take slow and small sips and if you have to drink a Protein Shake like my surgeon wanted me to, then Water it down a little to thin it out.
sleeved2win 79 Posted January 5, 2018 Thanks. I threw up a few times and I think I might have been taking in too much too quickly. I'm pretty miserable right now but trying to stay positive.
