Paityn 24 Posted December 29, 2017 Are those a thing? Soft chewy Protein Bars? I’ve only ever had the crunchy ones. I’m in the soft phase and I leave for Disneyworld in 2 weeks and wants something easy and high in Protein to eat on the go if need be. Looking for recommendations. RickM 1,752 Posted December 29, 2017 Quest bars are generally on the soft and chewy side - depends on their temperature, but many warm them up in the microwave for a few seconds. As they generally are not layered, frosted or crunchy, they take well to being kept in a car or purse (or pocket) and aren't bothered by being warmed some. Read the description of their different varieties, as they seem to have introduced new ones lately that are layered or iced that may not work as well in this regard. 1 KarenOR reacted to this

I buy the costco brand which has cookie dough and brownie, are much cheaper than the Quest brand and do the job.

RickM 1,752 Posted December 30, 2017 Yes, the costco brand bars are a close second, and are certainly patterned after the Quest bars. Of the Quest bars, I like the chocolate Brownie the best, and also go after several of the other varieties. The cinnamon roll and lemon pie do have some essence of what they portray, and are good unto themselves. You can buy a sample pack from them which has a variety of flavors, so that is often the best way to find what suits your taste.
