j.sierra05@yahoo.com 21 Posted December 28, 2017 I’m two weeks post op (sleeved 12/14) and still on liquid diet. The dr and nutritionist said I need to be walking 30 min a day...but every time I try to I get fatigued in about 10 min. Is this normal for only be two weeks out or should I talk to my dr about it? Creekimp13 5,840 Posted December 28, 2017 Depends so much on your fitness level before surgery. I was walking 7 miles a day before surgery, so had no problems at all walking 30-60 minutes a day the very day after. You have to start somewhere. If you're comfortable with 10 minutes, try to up it a couple of minutes every few days until you reach 30. Get a pedometer and try to up your step goal. If they want 30 minutes....do it in three sets of 10. Sometimes, it's a lot more manageable when you break it down. Also...make sure you're eating. Get your fluids in, get your Protein in...then work on getting your calories in. It's hard to exercise with an empty tank. Good luck! 2 j.sierra05@yahoo.com and Healthy_life2 reacted to this
1234567890 328 Posted December 28, 2017 Were you active at all ? I guess all depends.. talk to your Dr, I remember walking 15 min every 1.5 hrs since day 1. Your situation sounds a bit strange.. good luck 🙃 1 j.sierra05@yahoo.com reacted to this

Walking is going to help your body heal from surgery. If you have any health concerns...Call your team. I like the advice from @Creekimp13 three set of ten. Make this your first surgery small goal to obtain. Reward yourself when you hit that small goal. Best of luck to you! j.sierra05@yahoo.com 21 Posted December 28, 2017 Before surgery I was very active...I would walk 4 miles a day as well as doing CrossFit. I’ll definitely try doing 3 sets of 10 min workout. Thank you guys!
