KDBaker 70 Posted December 26, 2017 Hello! I'm 2 months post-op and have been really successful so far, now it's time to up my activity level again. I had a FitBit Flex for a while, but it died recently. Any suggestions on what to get? I don't need a lot of bells and whistles. As long as it can keep track of my steps/mileage/calories burned I'm a happy girl. 1 newsleevedme79 reacted to this
MaryPoppins 5 Posted January 18, 2018 I use an app on my phone called Walkmeter. It’s simple to use and all I really need.
Sadiebug 206 Posted January 18, 2018 I've had the Garmin Vivosmart HR, and now I use a Fitbit Charge 2. I really liked the Garmin but it was a bit more complicated then I wanted at the time. I love my Charge 2. It's simple to use, tracks all of the basic stuff I need (steps, HR, stairs, exercise) it's not too ugly. Plus I like the cheesy little messages and notifications it gives me periodically telling me to get up and walk The Garmin would literally just vibrate and display "MOVE" but the Fitbit puts up a picture of a little guy cheering and says things like "are you up for 200 steps?" The only thing I miss about the Garmin is that it was totally waterproof so I could wear it for swimming/water aerobics.
Sprinkles1 358 Posted January 18, 2018 I'm not a fan of fitbits... they're not accurate enough for me. I use polar watches. I think they're great and you can buy a band that you put on your chest during workouts, it fires under your clothes and I never even notice it's there. That's the most accurate way to get your heart rate, compared to your wrist. I like to work smarter, not harder.
