Flabtofab122717 26 Posted December 26, 2017 New here. Been reading these boards for the last few weeks, my first time posting. I am scheduled for surgery at 8:30 am tomorrow morning, 12/27. Getting nervous! Excited for what this means for my life, mostly nervous about having actual surgery and complications. But it’s taken me two years to get to this point and there is no turning back now. Sit have to have faith that everything is going to be fine. 2 Sleeveforme2017 and march1 reacted to this

Still a ton of trapped gas, but I have been able to stop the dilaudid pain meds. Still taking the zofran and meds for esophageal spasms pretty regularly. Able to consume a little more liquid each day and some Protein. Deffinately not a walk in the park yet tho. Whoever says this is the easy way out can kiss my ass 1 1 Creekimp13 and momin2005 reacted to this

I started my Protein Water this morning and it's going down pretty good. It's definitely not a walk in the park. But we got this. [emoji4] Have you been getting any sleep? I just can't get comfortable. Up every hour or so. Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app 1 momin2005 reacted to this

Up every hour or so. Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app First few days I had to sleep on the couch, there was no getting comfortable. I am up every 2-3 hours still, but I take a quick 10 minute walk to loosen some of the gas up and lay back down and an able to get back to sleep. Don’t know what your doc prescribed you for meds, but mine gave me some Valium, and I take it right before bed and that helps a lot. I average about 8 hours, with waking up 2-3 times a night. A pillow under my stomach has been helpful as well.
Losebig 508 Posted December 31, 2017 Glad it went well. Now every day it'll get a bit better. The gas is the worst, walk as much as you can and keep sipping!
