I had my surgery dec.13. This coming wens. I will be 2 weeks out. I have been on a liquid diet for a month now and have not broken it (as much as it sucks, lol) I have been experiencing severe dizziness when I get up from the couch, out of bed etc. So dizzy I even loose eye sight and/or my vision gets fuzzy. I have been staying hydrated and walk everyday. I have pain near my belly button that has gotten worse like a 'internal bruise'. Its not the abdominal discomfort because it got better to the point where I could laugh and cough freely . Till about a couple days ago I cant even laugh without a pretty decent throbbing sting pain. I also get spontaneous chest pains that occur for about a min-30 sec. Then go away completely (But is not gas) I am 2 days away from starting the "creamed Soup stage" and due to today being christmas my doctor isnt open I dont want to go to the ER for something minor. Has anyone else expierenced this ?

Chest pain isn't minor... honestly, since you're only two days away, I'd try to have some cream Soup now. Two days difference won't be the end of the world. Maybe you'll notice a difference once you've had some soup. If you don't, I'd go to the doc asap tomorrow!

During a fad juicing diet I was experiencing literally everything you said above, once I ate something other than drinking a juiced vegetable, it all went away.

The symptoms of dizziness and vision problems can be caused by low blood pressure or by low blood sugar. It can be caused by dehydration or electrolyte imbalance. There are many potential causes.

On my discharge directions that list when to contact my surgeon's office is:

6. Chest pain, rapid heartbeat and/or dizziness.

The primary concern is probably a blood clot in the lungs, which produces dizziness, chest pains and vision problems. http://www.thrombocyte.com/signs-of-blood-clot-in-lung/

Your surgeon should have an on call physician who would cover even when the office is not open. Are you feeling better? What did you decide to do? Those symptoms are concerning!

Always call. Most have a backup person on call. As a healthcare provider and a sleeve patient I never play around with chest pain. Hope it all works out for you.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
