YummyMummy303 123 Posted December 25, 2017 Just wondering what everybody ate or is eating on Christmas to compare notes - especially those that are around 3 weeks post-op like me. Sleeved: 2/12/2017SW: 209lbs/95kgs 1 Alex Brecher reacted to this
BigAussieGirl 162 Posted December 25, 2017 I was really worried about Xmas day, but to my surprise Xmas lunch went really well. I had mostly prawns, and because they are so fiddly to shell it took along time to have my meal, so I didn't feel I was missing out on anything. Merry Christmas 1 YummyMummy303 reacted to this
EagerPenguin 159 Posted December 25, 2017 I'm hosting Christmas dinner at my home this year on 12/28. I'll be 3 weeks post op on that very day, and will just be getting to my puree stage. Since I'll be at home, I'll have a few more options than if I was away. I'll thin out some mashed potatoes with some broth, shred up some ham, have a small amount of sweet potato casserole, or just cut things up very very tiny (which technically isn't puree but I'm certainly not putting green bean casserole in the blender!). I'm aiming for moist and soft things. I have no idea what I'll tolerate, though. Good luck and Merry Christmas! 2 BigAussieGirl and YummyMummy303 reacted to this
Biddy zz 🏳️🌈 1,004 Posted December 25, 2017 11 days out. I had about 1/4 cup of chicken puréed in gravy. Yum! 20 puréed peas on the side. And desert - 2/3 teaspoons of crumbly meringue/yoghurt. Couldn’t resist (too hard with everyone eating for hours!) but it has all gone ok. 1 YummyMummy303 reacted to this

Rainbow_Warrior 996 Posted December 25, 2017 Breakfast: 110grams of oily baked salmon. Lunch: I managed, in an hour and a quarter to eat 40grams chicken breast, 40grams lean pork, 55grams of lean ham, a small cube of pumpkin (45grams) and a dessertspoon of peas (about 30grams). No gravy, no dessert, no beer or wine. Very restrained. Dinner?: It's 6:35pm now and I am having a 170gram tub of high-protein kiwifruit yoghurt. Snacks: Two 600mL bottles of diet-rite low-calorie cordial. A McCafe medium skim flat white espresso. A small McCafe hot chocolate. A successful xmas day. My best in 40+ years! 1 YummyMummy303 reacted to this
Creekimp13 5,840 Posted December 25, 2017 Was sleeved on the 5th. Had a couple of tablespoons of turkey cut up really small, couple tablespoons of mashed potatoes and gravy, a teeny little bit of jellied cranberries, a bite or two of green bean casserole, and a bite of stuffing (didn't go down well). And yep, I had about a tablespoon of bread pudding with rum sauce...OMG...(went down very well...but if I'd eaten any more, would have gotten nauseated from the sugar...I played this one pretty slick) Mostly naughty, I know. LOL. But it's Christmas, and portions were very small. I don't feel bad about it. Fully recognize I can't eat this stuff all the time...just on special occasions. Also! I walked over 7 miles yesterday, shoveled snow, burned over 3000 calories, and am down half a pound this morning. So, I'm feeling ok about my choices:) 8 Rainbow_Warrior, psyance, niceross and 5 others reacted to this
Wendyfm 494 Posted December 25, 2017 I’m three years out. I ate ham, squash, stuffing, potato and later apple pie. Of course in smaller portions. Scraped most of the stuffing and potato in the garbage. 2 YummyMummy303 and ThickGirl5683 reacted to this
Humble17 41 Posted December 25, 2017 I smoked a brisket and some chicken. I ate mostly meats, with a bite of scalloped pirates and of a greenbean casserole. I have NOT been counting calories today, if I’m over 1500 for the day I’d be shocked. I did drink a Protien shake first thing this morning. I have every intention of eating a small piece of chocolate silk pie my family encourages me to make every holiday. I already have my clothes laid out for a run tomorrow morning! ThickGirl5683 318 Posted December 27, 2017 My husband made chili... We went TOTALLY non traditional. I had a bowl ( less than half) of chili with shredded cheese, a dollup of sour cream and avocado... Msdooloo 102 Posted December 27, 2017 I think you call Prawns 'Shrimps' in the US. Ah ok. I'll need to tell my daughter that shrimp is called prawns in Australia. She's obsessed with anything Australian from the food, animals, lingo. She wants to go next summer for family vacation!Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app 2 BigAussieGirl and MissSimpson reacted to this

Sullie06 1,013 Posted December 27, 2017 I had a 1/2 cranberry pancake (split it with my 2 year old) and bacon at my mother Christmas Brunch and then my family does Italian for Christmas dinner so I had a tiny slice of lasagna but ate mostly the inside and not the noodle and some smoked brisket. At my Dads Christmas dinner yesterday I had a small salad and chicken Spiedies.
