I'm now 3 months out and I have been stalled again for 3 weeks. I've lost 42 pounds, but I'm feeling like I won't lose anymore weight. I'm meeting my Water goals, Protein, and exercise goals. I still keep thinking I should've gotten the RNY.

i hope I can lose another 30 pounds by my 6 month appointment in the next few months. I have pcos and I think that's the culprit. I feel lighter but no more weightless. Maybe I should go to therapy or something. Smh

I went through a period like this a couple months ago at almost the same interval and asked the exact same question (you can find the thread here if you search). Fortunately, it was just a stall, and the weight loss picked back up after I made a couple of small tweaks to my routine.

Granted I'm losing slower than I used to, but it's still going. Knock on wood and praise the Lord!

I hope your stall is short and you handle it (emotionally) well.

Thank you for your responses. I will keep the faith and press on. I'm also going to join my local support group.

Stalls happen.

Keep working the program, keep the faith. This is a long haul thing, and while it is not at all easy - it is so worth it!

Stalls are part of the process no matter what surgery you have, just stay the course and stick with your Protein and fluid goals and it will pass. It's the body's way of processing the weight loss.

I was stalled for almost 2 months at 10-12 months post op but I went down a clothing size during that time so just because the scale isn't moving, doesn't mean you are not losing weight, you could be losing inches which my surgeon said still counts as fat loss.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
