I bought UK size 14 tops this weeks (which I think are about a US 10). I haven’t been in a size 14 size I was 19 years old...23 years ago! 🎉🎉

I had a friend pick me up today to run errands. I kept catching her looking at me out of the corner of my eye. Finally, she says ” I know it's only been a few weeks now, but I can totally see it—you look good.” ☺️☺️☺️

Well Cammarays. you are sparkling for me from afar, and Rosie what a lovely occurance for you, you are literally in your 2nd Youth with such a petite size. Reading these NSV firms the resolve of Pre Surgery Chicks like Me. We say" Hey they could do it, If I firm my resolve, keep following the diet and exercise rules, I think,I can too!" and we keep chugging along, even with doldrums on either side, toward our future finishes. Thank you for your shining examples!🙉🙈🙊😛

I just had an NSV that I didn’t think I’d ever have. Apparently I don’t have thigh chafing anymore. No cub rub. No more shorts under skirts and dresses.

I have had that since puberty and was convinced half the problem was being over weight and half the problem was the way my thighs were built.

But omg. My thighs don’t rub together anymore. It is kinda freaking me out!

Oh, haha, I don’t have that any more either! I used to have to put that AquaGlide stuff on my thighs before running.

That's awesome! I don't think I'll ever get there. My thighs have rubbed together since jr high, when I was normal weight. Maybe a thigh lift will fix it!

Up until my mid thirties, I was thin but toned. (I was an on-air model into my late 20’s so the standards were incredibly high.) My thighs still touched somewhat. It is either completely normal for some body types OR no matter how how thin some of us become, we were just born with our legs too close together! :) Don’t let THIS be your benchmark.

I went to a huge department store and rather than going to the plus sized floor, I went to what I have been known to refer to as the "Normal Human Woman Department". Picked up a bunch of stuff in sizes 14-18, and they ALL FIT. Some were too tight in places, some were too loose, but none were on the usual plus-size spectrum of sausage-casing-to-circus-tent.

Not only was I able to find clothes that I could pull on and zip and button, I was able to not panic-buy the things that were the closest fit. I took photos of all the tags and was able to leave the store, knowing I could go online and find the exact clothes I wanted in the cut I wanted and length I wanted, because that's how normal human woman stockists work. I even found a dress I'll probably wear to a wedding in autumn, so I'll keep my eye on that and know to try it on in a much smaller size closer to the time.

This has been a complete bizarre experience that I probably last had 20 years ago. Usually when I leave a store empty-handed I feel exhausted and depressed. This time I was absolutely fine and thinking about stuff like colors, trends, accessories that I could blend to put together an outfit of choice instead of necessity.

This weekend, I went to put on my trusty Cubs hat and found that it was at least two sizes too big.

I can slide about eight fingers in there and still have slack.

I guess I had a fat head before.

Today I worked out with a personal trainer for 30 min. I was able to complete all the exercises and I could actually bring my knee to my chest to stretch. I was also able to wear my cute new workout leggings that have support so my jiggles were less noticeable. Those new leggings are 4 sizes smaller than what I was wearing. Yeah!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
