Neversaynever 268 Posted May 24, 2018 (edited) We have an old fashioned bath that is narrower in the middle. I used to have to "lift" my hips over the middle bit to lay down in the bath, now, I just slide straight through the middle! allwet 868 Posted May 30, 2018 this needs to move back to the top for all to see and take heart from. NSV are important and each is personal and important to our mental health so i will share a small NSV this morning. Out of habit i sit here with my feet elevated as i have for years cause i need to keep the swelling down in my feet only as i look at my feet i realize i haven't need to do this for a while and i am doing it now out of pure habit. I have lost 2 shoes sizes in the last 10 months and the bones in my feet show now that the fat is mostly gone. The left foot is still larger than the right but it most likely will always be due to circulation issues that don't have anything to do with my WLS. So i sit here looking at my own feet and smiling cause i can see them sitting and just as importantly when i stand up. 6 AshAsh12, Orchids&Dragons, ProudGrammy and 3 others reacted to this
Frustr8 7,886 Posted May 30, 2018 Wow what a NSV! This one I'm looking forward to. I have lost weight in my face, forearms, wrists and an almost loss of body inches. I rationalize that since I am still presurgical there is hope for me yet. But as I have lymphedema the word "swelling" resonates with me. Keep me updated as more NSV occur for you.😛
browneyez42 280 Posted May 31, 2018 I went to Boston Market and got a kids meal (chicken and veggies) and I made three meals out of it. vgraves13 18 Posted June 1, 2018 I fit into jean I haven’t worn in over two and a half years and some of them now fit too big. I am an avid Disneyland goer and I can last longer at the parks and get in and out of the rides super easy. I went down a shoe size. I can run 50 mins on the elliptical. Save money whenever we go out to eat. 4 allwet, Lizzziee, CurleyQ and 1 other reacted to this
mitchjoann132010 288 Posted June 1, 2018 5 weeks out and my scrubs are hanging off of me, my coworkers even brought up great places to take them in. Walking past pizza, donuts, etc and not craving them at all. Instead choosing healthy Protein instead bc I'm craving it. People saying my face is slimmer. Went down a pant size. Almost able to cross my legs comfortably. This is only in 5 weeks, I can't wait to see what else is in store for me!!!! 6 CurleyQ, domi, allwet and 3 others reacted to this

I have to shuttle from our work parking lot to work and don’t like touching thighs with the person next to me...and now I don’t! Me too! Yay! I have a pair of shoes I could never wear because they would pinch my toes when I took a step, now I can wear them just fine. mimi0725 12 Posted June 1, 2018 Had surgery 10/2016 for revision lap band. I totally had a NSV when I realized I could get up off the floor so easy and chase after my grandson, didn’t have to roll around and use furniture to try and get up and I am 60 years young 7 Sleeved36, CurleyQ, allwet and 4 others reacted to this
AllyJonesVSG 184 Posted June 1, 2018 I LOVE this topic! Read every one and cheering for everybody! For me, I literally walked out of a pair of jeans. My heel caught on the hem and they came right down off me. Down a size already! And I'm having a surge of energy in spite of having zero caffeine (I was addicted to Diet Coke pre-surgery.) Got up at 5:30 this morning and cooked eggs for me and hubby (he was shocked, LOL) then took the dogs on a mile-long walk. Can't wait to see what NSVs the next weeks and months bring. 3 belinda7, CurleyQ and allwet reacted to this
RHCD 241 Posted June 4, 2018 Got a couple more today. Had to go to a walk in clinic today got a skin infection thing... they didn’t have to go searching for the bigger BP cuff and just used the “normal one”. Doc even said after reviewing my vitals what not that I’m “really healthy”. I’m choosing to take that as positive and not a backhanded compliment. Best NSV was the Mr giving me a big hug and saying he could reach around me more and this was now his favorite way to measure my progress. Congrats on everyone for notifying NSV even if not posting. 6 allwet, domi, Sleeved36 and 3 others reacted to this
pharlow 9 Posted June 4, 2018 I just realized no longer have to worry about accidentally collapsing my ladder under my weight. I bought it without knowing the weight limit until I got it home and was taking the risks every time I used it. I never thought about that!! I have two that I’ve always been cautious with. I’m well below the limits now [emoji16] 3 GreenTealael, Orchids&Dragons and allwet reacted to this
