DropWt4Life 957 Posted December 19, 2017 Good job. Working out is great for you over the long term. Yes, take your time, and ease into it. Before you know it, you will start developing muscle definition everywhere. Good luck! 2 Jamocoa and Hannah83 reacted to this

I find that more often than not, I don't have the motivation to go to the gym when things are hectic - especially cardio days . However, I have been going long enough that it is habit. So I go even though I don't really want to be there. I always feel better when I leave though. 2 Hannah83 and JohnGraySmiley reacted to this
Msdooloo 102 Posted December 20, 2017 I force myself to go. I'm 2 months post-op and just started going back 2 weeks ago. I'm easing into my routine and just sticking with cardio machines. I will eventually get back to running up 150 flights of stairs while carrying 15 pound dumbells but until i get there again I'm going to pout and dread it. Your right on feeling better after working out, I do feel better and so happy my ass is outta there too!Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app 2 Hannah83 and xty31 reacted to this
CalGuy64 66 Posted January 12, 2018 Went to the gym for the first time post-op (almost 4 months). I've lost strength -- lots of it. But working out felt good. I went for a swim after and found that being significantly smaller makes swimming easier (also my swim goggles fit much better on my thinner face). 3 JohnGraySmiley, Jamocoa and Hannah83 reacted to this
Hannah83 214 Posted February 11, 2018 ugh, depression is so awful, my meds are being adjusted and it's been painful to even get to the gym, say less get out of bed. I am forcing myself to go, when I usually feel that afterglow for 3 hours after a workout, now it's just one hour. blah, this too will pass. 1 rs reacted to this
Hannah83 214 Posted February 21, 2018 (sigh) my antidepressants haven't been metabolizing even after I workout I usually have an afterglow, but it's just 'meh' now...I'm working with my doc on dosage it's a time released antidepressant now I take one in the morning per usual and one midday to try and get up to the 60 mg I was at pre sleeve...I hate this, dragging my butt to the gym and sweating my rear end off, without the high after sucks 1 rs reacted to this
Hannah83 214 Posted February 22, 2018 went to an hour-long spin class and man am I feeling it in my butt...felt like death when I got home had a huge poop, showered and laid down to take 40 1 1 Healthy_life2 and rs reacted to this
CalGuy64 66 Posted February 22, 2018 My strength is coming back. Today I did incline dumbbell presses with 45 pound dumbbells -- still less than before but quite a bit better than just two weeks ago. Still can't do squats very well -- I'm doing trap bar deadlifts instead (a great exercise BTW). 2 1 Hannah83, Healthy_life2 and Jamocoa reacted to this
