TakingABreak 2,733 Posted December 18, 2017 I'm having surgery in a month, and I've got a question for all the vets out there. Do any of you dump with artificial sweeteners? I'd prefer stevia, of course, but Water additives are very difficult to find with stevia. My program says crystal light is fine I've found some by crystal light that are sweetened by stevia, but they have added caffeine. . However, the vast majority of crystal light is made with aspartame. Any insight would be helpful.

James Marusek 5,244 Posted December 18, 2017 I had no problems with artificial sweeteners or with no calorie natural sweeteners such as Stevia. Eating too many Sugarless Haribo Gummy Bear can produce intense diarrhea. https://www.buzzfeed.com/michaelrusch/haribo-gummy-bear-reviews-on-amazon-are-the-most-insane-thin So I would caution care in using this type of artificial sweetener. Lycasin is a maltitol Syrup with properties of taste and sweetness ideal for the preparation of sugar-free syrups, lozenges or jellies, according to manufacturer Roquette.com. Little known to most gummy bear connoisseurs, however, the side effects of Lycasin are gas, bloating and diarrhea. 1 TakingABreak reacted to this

nomorefattypatty 329 Posted December 2, 2018 I'm having trouble with gastritis and it's burning up my esophagus. My Dr ordered the EGD with bravo, however my gastritis was so bad they didn't put the camera in. I'm seeing the Dr on Monday, has anyone else had this happen? Did they switch you to the bypass? After already having the sleeve I'm concerned that it will cause more problems than its worth having but I see no other options to fix this. I wake up in the middle of the night with vomit coming up from my stomach and it burns my esophagus so bad I have to use my rescue inhaler just to breathe, any information would really be appreciated.
