marcinharrr 6 Posted December 17, 2017 This s my third day of sleeve surgery. Any suggestions?
Creekimp13 5,840 Posted December 17, 2017 (edited) Man, I hope they finish soon, that's a LONG surgery! LOL...just kidding:) Advice....keep walking, keep sipping! Hydration is key, and the walking helps metabolize the anesthetic away and promotes healing. Best wishes for an effective, healthy outcome! marcinharrr 6 Posted December 19, 2017 Are you guys on blood thinner medication?
Creekimp13 5,840 Posted December 19, 2017 They gave me a couple of blood thinner shots in the hospital, but no meds to go home on.
Losebig 508 Posted December 21, 2017 Sip constantly. If you're on Protein Shakes you can thin them if needed with extra Water. Try and walk / exercise daily, it does seem to help. I'm just ahead of you (12/12 sleeve) and have felt a dramatic improvement in pain and cramping in the last day or so. I'm experimenting with purée as my next stage and that's been interesting and satisfying! Who knew 2 OZ of puréed chicken would fill you up like a huge meal for hours
saltykisses 27 Posted December 21, 2017 I'm a 12/15 surgery. What's everyone eating at this point besides Water? And what's your next step?
marcinharrr 6 Posted December 21, 2017 saltkisses, I had on the same day. I am already eating a little thick very small amount of Soup, liquid only was not doing anything and I was going crazy. But I mean little amount like 3 or 4 spoons. It is helping me. I hope this time goes fast. 1 saltykisses reacted to this

I was sleeved 12/12 and have to give myself Lovenox shots for the next 3 weeks, its not so bad but I still wish I didn’t have to. I was told it was due to my higher weight, I guess more prone to blood clots.
