sleeeved 3 Posted December 17, 2017 I’m finally home from the hospital and it’s so hard to sleep on my back. I’ve tried sleeping on my sides but I feel very sore. Any suggestions on comfortable sleeping positions? 1 Yosy reacted to this
James Marusek 5,244 Posted December 17, 2017 This is a common problem. Many people find it easier to sleep on a recliner for the first few days after surgery. Further on when the fat starts to disappear from your legs, you may discover that it is difficult to sleep on your side because your bones at the knees are rubbing together. This is a very unnerving feeling. I found the solution to this was to slip a pillow between my legs at night.

Frankette 95 Posted December 18, 2017 They let me side sleep right side in hospital night of surgery. They propped an angled pillow against my back. I continued it when I got home. I already sleep with a pillow between my knees and added a pillow to my back and a small memory foam one kinda tucked under the side of my stomach to prop it up a bit. Eventually I could sleep either side. I am 2 weeks post op tomorrow. I would have been a miserable person if my sleep was interrupted.
