A_new_sara 136 Posted December 17, 2017 Hey I'm new here. My surgery is Monday (Dec 18.) I am freaking out! How did you guys keep calm?My surgery is Monday too.. I'm a revision from sleeve to bypass due to some complications I had from my vsg I in July. I'm scheduled for 7:30 Monday morning. Good luck to you! I hear the recoveries are similar so I can tell you that the first couple of days are kind of hard because you can't drink, and you're in pain from the gas pain in your chest so just take a hot pad and make sure you relax and use your pain medicineSent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app 2 FluffyChix and Real California April reacted to this
pollymatin 6 Posted December 17, 2017 Make sure you have someone you trust with you. I had my daughter. My blood pressure was high the three days I was in hospital. It’s back to normal now. Don’t bring too much stuff with you, I didn’t use any of it. It’s a huge decision, you’re going to do great! Don’t expect to feel good for at least two weeks, then it’s day by day. It’s a life changer, that’s for sure. 3 Potts365, FluffyChix and Real California April reacted to this

I just kept reminding myself why I choose to get it done and my mom was there but she was really scared and pale and I just made myself smile and I just kept thinking that I need to be strong for my mom so she wouldn’t worry a lot. I love my mom and she is sick so I wanted to make sure that she was good so I think that made my surgery on me easier because I wouldn’t let my self get scared for the sake of my mom.He hard part is just waiting to be taking to the or for me. I don’t think I was evening awake for 5 mins and I remember just talking to one of the nurse to keep my mind busy and next thing I know I’m awake in the recovery room. SampTheChamp 234 Posted December 19, 2017 I had my surgery yesterday 12/18 and it was awesome. The surgeon did great and I feel really good. Mild gas pain, no nausea, just tender incision sights. You're gonna crush this! How you feeling?Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app 2 SupernaturalWhovian and tankheadmommy reacted to this
