I tried to contact my surgeons office but they haven’t gotten back to me yet. I’ve had no previous health problems before my surgery other than depression and anxiety that I’m taking Remeron for.Specifically asking about Lasix, tmi but ladies you know when you’re bloating before that time of the month for me I retain ALOT of Water up to 7-8 pounds difference in my weight no matter how hard I watch my sodium intake. Is Lasix 45mg safe to take???
Creekimp13 5,840 Posted December 17, 2017 1. I'd ask your surgeon. 2. The real risk with a diuretic would be dehydration. That would be the biggest concern. Doc might want to try a smaller dose? 3. It's only been a couple of months. Personally....I'd put up with the retained Water for a couple more months and see if it improves as your body adapts to your new circumstances. 4. But again....ASK YOUR DOCTOR. It's important. 2 ChaosUnlimited and Rose400491 reacted to this

Agree with this emphatically. It could be dangerous for you to take it due to risk of dehydration and/or electrolyte imbalance, so please call your doctor and ask.
