Livingmybestlife 19 Posted January 4, 2018 Good morning everyone and happy Thursday! I am feeling better than I have since we started. I am thankful I found Ducolax. My stomach has been angry from all that I have put it through. I am glad that for the most part we are all doing well in the New Year, I mean in the health dept. I am thankful for small victories that is every pound we lose is one pound towards our goal collectively. I wish everyone a blessed day and I am thankful to have each and every one of you here for support. Just wanted to share the positive things that have happened before thinking of a challenge. Be well! 1 greenreader reacted to this

Lotte22 37 Posted January 4, 2018 Mine was in Dec 29 , I went to work on 1/1and prior to that have been on my feet as got 2 lil ones. Today since evening my extreme right stitch/incision hurts , really bad to touch and otherwise [emoji853] not sure if I overworked it?? I have two 3 year olds. It’s pretty tough not being allowed to lift them. Even just my diaper bag is more than ten lbs!! It’s easier said than done to focus on your recovery when one kid needs one thing and the other is screaming from a stubbed toe good luck to you!
Lotte22 37 Posted January 4, 2018 I lost 13 lbs on the pre-op diet and 11 lbs since surgery, totaling 24lbs. I’m so happy!! Before surgery it was nearly impossible for me to lose even ten. I’m glad to be getting some positive feedback. 1 greenreader reacted to this

florida16 1 Posted January 4, 2018 Any ideas for Breakfast other than Protein Shake? , Day 7 post op I have found light carnation breakfast shake, I cup of skim or no fat milk and a scoop of unflavored Protein Powder is a good option instead of Protein shake. It is tastier and thinner seems to go down easier for me. 1 optimistic74 reacted to this

greenreader 19 Posted January 4, 2018 It feels good to be through the first week after surgery, and I feel like I am starting to get some energy again. It is hard doing this with young kids, mine are two and six, and since the surgery happened over break, everyone was home the whole time. Luckily my husband was home to help, too. I am grateful that I have 1 1/2 weeks before I go back to work. That will be an adjustment for sure. I have also been able to get out and take a walk each afternoon to stave off boredom, and keep my back from cramping up. My only two issues have been waking up every couple of hours at night (but I can take a short nap during the day). I also am thirsty all the time. So grateful for ice chips! I am so glad that this forum exists so we can share stories and ask questions, too. 1 Brittanyblue reacted to this

BrandNewMe495 10 Posted January 4, 2018 When I go it’s soft, but have only gone twice since surgery 12/29...There is nothing in my stomach to really have a good one, other then Jello, popsicles and broth..

I haven’t, but I’ve heard from other people that it can happen. I have 3 girls ages 9, 5, and 15 months. My husband wasn’t off, sun, mon, or tues, So I had them all by myself. I really think that slowed my recovery some. It seems like with this surgery your body really really needs to rest. Im fighting a bad cold, but I sure wish I’d feel like myself soon😩😩.
