dreamingsmall 1,125 Posted December 12, 2017 I'm just curious what weight people had their plastics and if you were at goal how long for before doing it ? 2 FluffyChix and JCKlgl123 reacted to this
forgetmenot 27 Posted December 12, 2017 Mine is tentatively scheduled for 1/17, exactly a year after WLS. I currently have a BMI of 22 and body fat percentage of 25%. I reached a BMI of 25 2 months ago and I had wanted to lose some more if the Tummy Tuck is the only procedure I needed. However, it appeared that the lack of volume in the butt (which also existed when I was overweight, caused by genetic factors) was a bigger problem than the abdominal area. In order to do the fat transfer required for a butt lift, I needed to have some fat remaining in the other regions of my body. Most plastics surgeons recommended that I don't lose anymore and a few even recommended gaining 10-15 pounds (apparently it's standard practice for non-bariatric patients). I refuse to purposely try to gain weight on a matter of principle but even maintaining has been hard. I guess that's a good problem to have lol. In the end, it will be touch and go the day of the surgery whether I'm too skinny to get enough fat for the butt so I guess I failed at timing the PS. 4 dcopps, JCKlgl123, Sosewsue61 and 1 other reacted to this
nurse247 74 Posted December 12, 2017 I was 133 before surgery. I’ve lost about 140 lbs. Had plastic surgery a year after bari surgery. I’m now 125 lbs a month after lower body lift. 2 FluffyChix and Sosewsue61 reacted to this
shedo82773 1,236 Posted December 13, 2017 I actually got to my goal weight within 6 months...I had my RNY July 2013. I had my Panni done in Sept 2015. I do wish I had gotten a Tummy Tuck but if I had known how things were going to turn out, I sure would have paid the extra that it would take to do the TT. Good Luck 1 Sosewsue61 reacted to this
jess9395 5,449 Posted December 13, 2017 Lost 136lbs in a year--almost exactly half my starting weight of 271. I am 5'6". Had plastics (tummy tuck, brachioplasty, mastopexy w/augment) after six months maintaining at 135lbs. 1 Sosewsue61 reacted to this
Sosewsue61 3,185 Posted December 13, 2017 @forgetmenot I have no butt either, fat or not. The surgeon I am interested in when the time comes recommends patients be above goal in order to harvest and render your fat to inject. He also has a hip techique that gives you nice curves. 1 forgetmenot reacted to this
