Daisalana 33 Posted October 24, 2007 I don't know why that's any different from any other piercing, but it's like if someone told you about sticking a needle in their toenail, that just creepy ick feeling thinking about that anchor.

Gone4Now 4 Posted October 24, 2007 Yeah, that's what TheFox said too. But you know, I've had my ears pierced for 30+ years and I've only ripped one once. It hurt but grew back. Remember when HUGE MOMBO size hoops were in style? Oh, you probably don't. But they used to be. Combing your hair was a dangerous task. Wasa - Don't forget that they were in style right along side of teased up hair and AquaNet! Deadly combo! So glad that's over...
WASaBubbleButt 41 Posted October 24, 2007 I saw a solid black pug dressed up as a spider yesterday. It was GREAT! Loved it!

Yesterday I saw a photo of myself in the early 80s. I had HUGE hair. How embarrassing, I actually went out in public that way. :rolleyes
WASaBubbleButt 41 Posted October 24, 2007 Hey Voon.... Do you know what AquaNet hair spray is STILL used for? It's SO strong that when you go to the doc and get a pap they "fix" the slide with a spray. If you tear the paper off the can it's AquaNet. It "fixes" it so NOTHING on that slides moves, slides off, or budges in any way possible. Still makes me laugh, I remember in my early days working for a doc and I never needed to take hair spray to work with me. I could poof it out and use "pap fixer" on my hair. I used to just spray the hairspray and aim the blowdryer at the same spot...for minutes! Poor ozone...it's all my fault!
PrettyBrownEyez 0 Posted October 24, 2007 Hey WASabubblebutt~ I think that piercing is HOT!!!! It is sooo odd...I say "GO 4 IT!" You only live once, so why not do all that you want while you have the time? You worked soooooooo hard on your weight loss, treat yourself to this. I love the "Monroe" was thinking about getting that when I hit my 50lbs. loss. I have several piercings and have yet to have any problems. Do u know a doctor that would do it? Chelle B 0 Posted October 24, 2007 Okay, so I saw this cool piercing on the news yesterday and although I am about as conservative as they come, THIS one I could do. I am trying to find something fun to do to Celebrate my weight loss. Check it out: Sage's Urban Art Tattoo and Piercing Then go to "Piercing" then click "enter" then go down the page to "Dermal Anchors" and it's the 6th one from the left. I could buy the item and have a doc implant the anchor under my skin. I could have my jeweler make a real top part that is an actual gem stone. It would end up looking like a diamond or Tanzanite is glued to my wrist. It's like a pierced earring only the anchor is under my skin on top of my wrist. What do you think? I saw the tattoo guy doing it on the news, took about 3 minutes or less. I don't want a tattoo place doing it, I want a real doc doing it. I'm not doing anything without running it by "TheFox" (member) because I am wayyy out of my league on this one. Poor girl, I've sent her at least a gazillion PMs tonight with links asking questions. Thoughts? That is soooo coool!
Daisalana 33 Posted October 24, 2007 I always liked the look of the monroe too, I didn't know thats what it was called till looking at that website. I debated it for sooo long, but I got rid of all my visible tattoos for the professional world (SIGH).. But everytime I see a girl with the monroe piercing I stare, looks so.. cute. Heh! I'm going to Mexicali with a friend on Saturday and I'm going to approach my band surgeon about it. He's a general surgeon too, no reason he couldn't do it. When he says no, I'm going to say that I understand and I'll just have the tattoo guy do it. He'll cringe at that. Heh... I'm hoping a bit of manipulation will work. WASaBubbleButt 41 Posted October 24, 2007 That is soooo coool! I think one of the reasons I want to do it is because it's tiny. I have had to wear big fat bands on rings and such because of my big fat hands. Now they aren't so fat and a tiny petite little stone would work where it wouldn't have worked before. Maybe that's one reason I want this. It's not a tattoo, I can remove it myself if I want. I kinda sorta think I might do this.

I am thinking about work though. I'd have to keep it covered 100% of the time. That's not cool.
