Lordofthepugs 7 Posted December 10, 2017 Wondering if anyone vapes? If you do how long did you wait until you started vaping again? Do you use nicotine? Do you feel a difference since starting again?
EagerPenguin 159 Posted December 10, 2017 My surgeon says absolutely no nicotine. Part of the pre op prep was quitting all forms. I'd stay off the pen if you can. 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this
Creekimp13 5,840 Posted December 10, 2017 My doc told us if we weren't willing to give up nicotine for a lifetime....not to have surgery. 2 EagerPenguin and ProudGrammy reacted to this
Sosewsue61 3,185 Posted December 10, 2017 Nicotine can cause ulcers and majorly slows healing. My Dr will not operate on any smoker/vaper unless you have quit at least 12 weeks prior and never take it up again.....you need to just quit, get some help for that please. 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this
Lordofthepugs 7 Posted December 10, 2017 Hey thank you for your input. I quit over 3 months ago. I have already had my surgery. And I was just wondering if there was anyone here that continued. 1 EagerPenguin reacted to this
dreamingsmall 1,125 Posted December 10, 2017 Hey thank you for your input. I quit over 3 months ago. I have already had my surgery. And I was just wondering if there was anyone here that continued. Even if there was. I wouldn't let it give you permission to start as it's a real health risk that the consequences can be really bad.
Phinley 94 Posted December 11, 2017 Like a steam engine. I switched to 0mg juice for a couple months after surgery because nicotine can mess with healing but I went back up to 3mg after that and my doc didn't mind. 1 Lordofthepugs reacted to this
Cas54 13 Posted December 11, 2017 Yes I vape (6mg nicotine). I vaped right after surgery in August and have continued. My surgeon wasn't concerned and I wasn't told to stop. haven't noticed any ill effects. 1 Lordofthepugs reacted to this

Jeaniered 183 Posted December 11, 2017 I vape too, though much less than before my sleeve, mainly because I forget and also don’t have the same desire as before. Never caused me any harm.
