BansterNYC 0 Posted October 23, 2007 I was scheduled to have surgery with Dr. Ortiz in Tijuana, Mexico, this week! All surgeries for the week are now canceled due to the fires raging in Southern, California. Apparently some of the staff had to evacuate their homes, and the San Diego Airport may shut down preventing patients for flying in (and out!) My surgery is postponed 1 week, and I was bummed about that, however the real tragedy is what the Souther California residents are dealing with!

jazzystouch 0 Posted October 23, 2007 I flew into San Diego this morning, our flight almost got cancelled boy was it a rough flight but I was there for a fill at Dr. Ortiz. The fill dr said Dr. Ortiz owns a ranch outside san diego that they think might have burned down. People in San diego and TJ were wearing mask. It was diff a rough day to be there. I took the 1st flight I could get home and was lucky enough to get home safe. I feel awful for those poor people. So many people have gotten evacuated. Its terrible. TheFox 0 Posted October 23, 2007 My Mum was one of the evacuee's from the Lake Arrowhead area. They've already lost over 200 homes in that area, and the winds are blowing towards her neck of the woods. It's been very stressful, but thankfully she's safe and sound. She said it was very surreal driving down the mountian with the flames and smoke lighting up the skyline.
