TakingMilliBack 6 Posted December 6, 2017 I had a Miscarriage in July and am very excited but still nervous now being 9 weeks pregnant. I have a high risk OBGYN, however she is unfamiliar with pregnancy after WLS. I’ve gotten no support from my surgeons office and am worried about nutrition. I’ve lost almost 4 lbs bc I can’t keep anything down. I was given Zofran but it just makes my stomach cramp and me sicker anyone relate or can give me advise/support? Not sure why the miscarriage happened (6 weeks 4days) but want to do whatever’s in my control for it not happen again and to have a happy healthy baby. Thank you in advance!! Shesl0singit 17 Posted December 7, 2017 Have you tried researching or asking your doctors office for recommendations of OBGYNs specialized in WLS patients?
melissa1227 3 Posted February 3, 2018 Get your progesterone level checked I had to take gummies starting 2nd trimester because my prenatal tried 2 kinds made me sick
MrsGamgee 756 Posted February 3, 2018 I can't speak to pregnancy after WLS, but I second the suggestion to get your progesterone level checked. In order to maintain a pregnancy through the first trimester I had to use progesterone suppositories because my body didn't produce enough. kakatlady612 1,053 Posted February 3, 2018 I also have a suggestion, if your high risk on/gun isn't familiar with post bariatric patients get a consultation with a ob affiliated with a hospital which also does WLS surgery. This would be advice I would give my daughter or grandaughters. Take care of that precious life inside you, I will be praying for you.Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
