Kinvelo 0 Posted December 5, 2017 I had a BMI if 36 prior to surgery weighted 188.9. Lost 9 lbs prior to surgery and 10 in the first 2 weeks. By the end of week 3 no change. I am definitely eating less. Off sugar & haven’t eaten any fruit. I had and have challenges slowing down and concentrating on when to stop. So I have thrown up a few times but I’m learning what I can and cannot tolerate, day by day. I just don’t understand how I haven’t lost weight in a week when I am eating to little, Protein, soft vegetable diced salads. Anyone have any insight they can share? MereBear23 7 Posted December 5, 2017 You and I sound the same. Give you body time! Easier said than done - but be patient. You went through a MAJOR change. That change will have to catch up at some point Hang in there and focus on how you feel rather than the weight (again easier said than done) 2 DropWt4Life and Kinvelo reacted to this
Kinvelo 0 Posted December 5, 2017 I tend to lose slowly. Always have. Just wanted to be sure I wasn’t missing anything I should be doing or try. Thanks!
XYZXYZXYZ1955 675 Posted December 5, 2017 Do a search for "third-week stall" or some variation of that phrase. It's incredibly common and shouldn't cause any worry. 3 bivian guzman, Nessy76 and DropWt4Life reacted to this

DropWt4Life 957 Posted December 5, 2017 Don't worry about it. You are doing just fine. Stalls happen. I had stalls at weeks 3, 6, and 12 (lasted 2 weeks). You are more than likely still losing inches anyway, so keep on track. The number on the scale will move soon enough.
MG1776 275 Posted December 6, 2017 The third week stall is real. Just keep on track, follow your plan, exercise, and ditch the scale for a week. Your body is still changing for the better, and sometimes the scale doesn't reflect that. I'm 7 weeks now and the scale has slowed significantly, but clothes are looser fitting and I'll need to punch a notch in my belt. Stay the course, it'll start coming off again soon.
