shsd87 11 Posted December 5, 2017 I'm 2 weeks post op on my vsg surgery. As Im watching TV all I see is food and I'm just devouring it in my thoughts! Is anyone going thru this?! I have cheated and maybe I should have not gotten this surgery bcuz I've already failed! I've had like 3 pieces of chips, drinking my Soup with chicken and a lil potatoes. However, I didn't over do it. It's just to taste. Is have lost 21 lbs since my surgery date on 11/20/17 but still afraid that I'm not going to lose as much bcuz of these hunger craves. I feel that I am depriving myself now and when that day comes of eating "anything" I will fail again! As much as I drink my Protein (which is hard to get them 70g in) and my Water and my puree/soft foods, I don't wanna gain weight or stop losing weight. I have heard that 6 months is the tops to stop losing weight. Is there anyone going thru this that can share any thoughts with me?Thank you! Biddy zz 🏳️🌈 1,004 Posted January 6, 2018 How are you doing now, 6 weeks later, my friend?
Jackie 4641 4 Posted January 9, 2018 I hope your doing better. I could even think of eating that three weeks out. I had the bypass. The first solid food I had was about a month out, and that was a few bites of a boiled egg, it was way too soon. Good luck.
