Always cold now...

Recommended Posts

Body fat has a lot of thermal insulation. As you lose the fat, you will become more sensitive to the cold. I use to drive in the winter snow with my windows down because I was too hot. Now I shiver even if the windows are up and the heater on high. It does not get better, just learn to compensate for the cold. I am 4 1/2 years post-op.

The individual that invented hand warmers should be given a medal. They really come in handy when I am shoveling snow in the winter.

Thank you for your response.
Living in Canada🇨🇦 does not help.
I will definitely invest in long John's!
I always ran warm but now I will have to layer.

Since having surgery , I am always cold. Has anyone else had this problem? Does it get better eventually?

Cold intolerance could also be a symptom of anemia. Check with your doctor to make sure your Iron levels are OK.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
