I was a 38G before the gastric sleeve
After 55lb loss I went down to a 38 DDD. Just had reduction/lift 5 days ago and so far very pleased. Still a lot of swelling, minimal pain. I had Lipo on my stomach too. I was told to ask for a reduction instead of a lift because a lift is included with a reduction. I think if you have smaller breast then request a lift since a reduction may not be needed. If these pics are against the rules please let me know.
First place I loose weight is in my breast ! After I loose 100 lbs I'm getting a boob job [emoji3]

My breast reduction was the BEST think I ever did! One surgeon wanted to give me implants, but the other one had a great line...."you have enough material to work with!" I have beautiful B cup breasts and I love them. Easy recovery. They removed 150 grams from one, and 9 from the other to get them to match! So happy with them 3 years out.

Not so happy with my tummy tuck...huge scar and it has never felt right, plus I couldn't exercise for 3 months and I gained some weight back.

I totally forgot that i even made this post lol, it’s one of my older ones. Now that’s it’s been some time i am definitely not getting a reduction, i love big boobs. I’ll probably just have a lift later on, but right now they look fine.

I had my breast reduction in January 2017, before I decided on having gastric bypass. I went from an H to a D cup. I wish I had done it 10 years prior. I had IMMEDIATE back and ribcage relief. I could BREATHE easier. I became like an inch taller! lol. Honestly, if I was allowed, I would have had them take them off entirely. They've caused me nothing but pain my entire life. They removed EIGHT POUNDS of fat.

I am scared that I am going to now have gastric and they will shrink and get saggy again, but what can ya' do.

Aww you guys are so awesome! I love this group.

It’s been months since i posted this....after weighing my options, i’ve decided against a reduction. I really don’t need it. I personally would feel weird with smaller boobs, i’m so used to having them and they’re still perky. Unfortunately even now, i still haven’t lost weight in that area, just obviously my band size is considerably smaller. Also i don’t have back issues so my insurance probably would not cover a reduction in my case anyway. I think i’m just going to continue with weight training and focus on body composition and then go from there.

Man! I’m only down 50lb since surgery and mine are not holding up as well as yours have! I plan to have a reduction/lift once I’m done losing and after kids (if we’re able to conceive). For those of you who did this, what was the pain like post-surgery?

My understanding is that recovery from plastic surgery is substantially more difficult than the initial weight loss surgery.

I had a breast reduction about 15 years ago and I agree with the other poster that it was the best decision ever! I went from 44 DD to a C cup, I’m now a 38 C and I am still very pleased with them, as I lose more weight I’m certain that they will get smaller and perhaps even become saggy but I’m ok with that. Bye the way I wasn’t having back pain or bra straps digging in my shoulders...good plastic surgeons know how to document and get it approved by the insurance companies. I did not see what he submitted to the insurance company but all I had to pay at that time was my $10 co pay, I was ecstatic because my breast became large when I was pregnant with my kid. My surgery was outpatient, had it on a Thursday stopped taking medicine that Sunday and Monday I was driving myself to my follow up appointment and went shopping for bras afterwards. Another great decision 😃

My understanding is that recovery from plastic surgery is substantially more difficult than the initial weight loss surgery.

I had a breast reduction last year (prior to bypass). I went from an H cup to a D cup.

There was NO pain post-surgery. They even had to do a full nipple graft because of the sheer volume of fat and skin they removed and the distance they had to list. Full nipple grafts are rare; they remove the entire nipple and sew it back on, instead of leaving it attached via a flap.

I had 8lbs of boob removed and did not experience any pain post-op. I was not even prescribed pain medication, just Ibuprofen. There are no drains. There was a LOT of post-op care, though, as far as lotioning the stitched areas and nipples. Mostly because I had the full nipple graft. They do NOT look pretty for quite some time. lol. There are dozens of ugly stitches, and I had stitches around my nipples. They dissolve over time. It's been almost two years now and the best decision ever, although I am scared after my surgery they will get saggy again. Oh well, I guess...

I think the painful surgeries are the ones where they remove a large area of skin, like the arm lifts and the lower body lifts (both of which I am saving up for already in anticipation... they are not cheap...)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
