Has anyone felt dizzy or fainted after having the surgery. I have fainted twice since my surgery. The first time I went to the hospital and they could not find anything. I am wondering if its related to the surgery.

I was dizzy and that was due to my BP meds. After adjusting the meds down I was still dizzy. I decided to stop the meds altogether. My BP is fine and I'm no longer dizzy.

Just over 2 weeks post op, and I feel light headed often right when I stand up. I am getting plenty of fluids, and it is not my BP (checked). Still don't know why, but it is definitely related to the surgery.

I have the same problem. For me, it’s definitely fluids. I have to drink well over the recommended amount each day to keep my bp from dropping when I stand after sitting or bending. I’ve also noticed that it’s not always how much I’ve had to drink as it is when I drink... so, for example, I have dizziness more frequently in the morning before I get significant fluids in after “fasting” all night. Same thing if I go for a few hours mid-day without drinking. Once I figured out the correlation between my dizzy spells and my Fluid intake, I was able to manage it.

That sounds exactly like what I have. P.o.t.s a form of Dysautonomia. Look it up. My symptoms match exactly! Your bp drops when you change position, laying, sitting, then standing. Your pulse also starts to race.

Only two cures, fluids or beta blockers.

You may have orthostatic hypotension. Does your blood pressure drop when you stand after sitting or laying down for awhile? My father has this and he’s managing it by increasing his fluids, including oral rehydration therapy (e.g. DripDrop powder or regular Gatorade, not G2), as well as getting up slowly after sitting or laying down for awhile.
