Buddies Group - Surgery Dec 4 to 15, 2017

This morning I went to Breakfast with my wife and had 1 scrambled egg and tolerated that well. I tried a few small bites of wheat toast with butter, but stopped when my stomach started to get angry with me. Also did fine with 1/2 a cup of black coffee. All of that was about 3 hours ago and I’m not hungry yet.

Hi December Sleevers!

I was wondering if anyone has burning pain in left incision? 9 days post op.

I have been doing more bending, walking? House chores Not to excess ?

Not sure what to do ? I guess call Dr if it gets worse. No oozing or fever.

Thanks for any help.

You are probably just doing too much. Try to kick back and relax with a heating pad. At that stage post op my incisions were sore too.

I’ll give that a try. Thank you [emoji4]

Mine also was burning, it kind of went away then flared up again at about 2 weeks out, but I'm about 3 1/2 weeks out and its gone now. I switched between ice and a heating pad. Hope it goes away soon!

I never had burning pain, but it was painful every time I moved from whatever position I was in and then the pain would go away. I think burning pain was one of the conditions where I was supposed to call my surgeon’s office.

Yes. Warm beverages are far easier for me and Water with lemon is a bit better than plain water (I use true lemon powder).

Room temperature Water goes down easiest. The Orange Crush flavor packets help sometimes; sometimes I just want plain water.

I’m just starting post op phase 2 in the next few days. I’m so excited for an egg! Haha. Sleeved 12/19/17.

I’m going to an all day conference in a week. I have no idea what will be served for lunch but it’s just pretty much going to be one choice. So, I know I most likely just need to bring my own food. What travels well that I could easily carry around with me and eat for lunch but still feel part of eating lunch with the group?
