It's lose not loose (smh)

Recommended Posts

"who you loose in their daily life " I can't even translate what you are saying. Lol. And actually no I don't use the word lose. It bothered you that much ? You should seek some support. You posted looking all high and mighty you were not posting to educate kindly you posted to mock. That is the difference. People called you out on it and your response was just to say people were attacking you and are trolls. It is an embarrassing read. I would accept that this post wasn't a 'joke' neither was it funny. This is a support group. Does it really matter with all the things going on in this world how someone spells a word. Put it into prospective . I am off this negative post now. As you said you don't post much.. but you chose to post something not so supportive. Good for you. Hope you got what you wanted to achieve. Everyone else is the one with the problem.. you don't realise we are all strangers so we can't all be wrong feeling this post was really uncalled for and mean. Were the ones with the problem because we didn't find your post funny .. I'd take a breath and reflect before responding insulting people. Bye.

Funny how you just make innocent typos and everyone else is a grammar idiot.

I died. That's so funny

Lol never said anyone was an idiot and never attacked anyone personally. Please go back to the original post and read it again. I was annoyed with the word loose used as lose and said they are different. Never made fun of anyone and didn't attack anyone. Also using loose instead of lose is NOT an innocent typo...you either know the difference or you don't. Just like I didn't know enough to use a lot instead. See? I learned something today too. I am NOT attacking anyone's learning capabilities...so stop making me sound like I'm evil. I'm not even close to that adjective. Excuse me for defending myself. Everyone can defend themselves without being a d**k to others.

She isn't making you sound anyway . That's actually how your coming across. Take it as feedback. Your delivery needs working on.

  • Weight loss surgery can be an effective tool to fight obesity.
  • Our common goal is to fight obesity through a unified voice.
  • No weight loss surgery is inherently better or worse than any other. Each has advantages, and each has disadvantages.

Some individuals are good candidates for one kind of surgery, and other individuals are better candidates for another kind of surgery.

  • No individual is more or less deserving of weight loss and health because of a decision to get or not get weight loss surgery, or because of which type of weight loss surgery he or she chooses.
  • BariatricPal serves as a place where anyone can ask questions about weight loss surgery without fear of ridicule.
  • BariatricPal serves as a forum for open discussion and polite disagreement so that everyone can benefit.

Weight loss surgery “bashing” is absolutely prohibited. This include, but is not limited to, statements that a specific type of weight loss surgery is:

Remember that written communication is different from face-to-face communication. When you post a message on the discussion forum, send someone a text message, email, or private message, or meet in a chat room, a lot of the message is lost. When you are face-to-face with someone, you can use tone of voice, gestures, and expressions to help get your point across. These aids are lost when you communicate online. Your message can accidentally come across as harsh or rude. A good way to reduce accidental misunderstandings is to read your own message before posting it to see if there is any way that a reader could mistake its meaning in a negative way.

Ok, so let me explain what bothered me so much about your original rant.
1. There are people here who are so concerned with privacy, they won't speak up on the boards and ask questions.
2. There are others who may fear speaking, because they either don't spell well, or have poor grammar, or speak English as their second language--so they don't ask questions.
3. This is a support board, yet your OP was not light hearted. It didn't read that way from my perspective. So all I could think of is dayum...think of all the poor peeps who won't speak up cuz another one of these threads made it to the boards. (There are people that reticent to post.)
4. It's shaming. And we're a support board. So why the need to shame?
5. It's a rant. Put it in the dadgum rant section so I have something good to read over coffee tomorrow morning! Always the same! Nothin new in the rant section.
6. Then you acted all prissy and no where did I get your humor or intent until you proclaimed it in the last couple of pages...too late.

Your not the only one who felt that way though so it's not your prospective out of wack. I read it the same. English is not alot of people's first language either. We are all doing what we can.

She just said no one on here has a disability they are just lazy. This is below the belt. And absolutely disgusting. I can't believe what is acceptable here. There are many of us here with disbalities. We are not lazy. That is a discriminate comment.

Whatever the word is!

This is a derogatory reference towards a group. I.e disabled.

Your very welcome. I can't see the reason why anyone would make such a post to bring people down .. she is obviously aware those who make those minor mistakes would read this comment and we all know the lows we can have after surgery .. no one wants to be laughed at. You were kind in your comment and your right the best thing is to just let them talk to themselves because some people you just can't get through to :)

Please do as you see fit. These women are twisting this post way out of proportion. I don't want to feed the fire. Yet I am bullied and called names such as bitchy judgemental troll etc. I have a right just as anyone on here to express what's on my mind and what bothers me. I called no one names and the post wasn't directed to anyone in particular. If the post rubbed people the wrong way, I can't help that they don't agree with my views. Again, delete this post or do whatever because I am being bullied for expressing my opinion. If noone agrees they can simply scroll on. It didn't have to go the way it has. And my comments after the fact are all responses to what they originally post. it's only natural that it gets nasty because I am human too! Thank you.

We all have our issues. That’s why we are here. Let’s just try to be inclusive. You said that you meant no harm with your post and I believe you. It’s just that sometimes we all may write things we think are innocent but to others they may be hurtful. I can’t count the times friends said things about their minimal weight issues in front of me not realizes I was crying inside. That’s all. Let’s move on and try to be mindful of our comments. We are all in this together! Namaste!

Four days post surgery. I am sipping as fast as I can and getting NO WHERE near the goal of 60 - 80 grams of protein or the 64 oz of liquids. I just feel FULL. I don't know if it can still be the gas build up (I would think by now that would be gone) but it is a struggle to drink. And so far I have not had the nausea or spasms and don't want to wander into that territory by pushing too hard with liquids. I about passed out today as it was my most "strenuous" day. Went from second story to basement for shower and I was sure I was going to pass out. Looking back on my last few days I have had a total of less than 1000 calories. Am I just not getting enough nourishment in me? Once again a friday where I can't get ahold of the doc until Monday rolls back around so I am hoping maybe someone here has some experience on how to keep energy going. I do have fibromyalgia too and that may be where some added fatigue comes into play. How did you all fair with the goals the week after surgery?

2 days until I fly out to San Diego to have my Bypass Surg. in Tiajuana Mexico. Not gonna lie, the nerves are starting to surface. I don't fear the surgery itself, or the fact that I'm traveling alone, but its the aftermath that I'm stressing about the most, after this 8 week wait. I'm excited to finally be here, but I am really dreading the post surgical chapter. I know its going to be tough, real tough and I think I'm just in my head to much now that the day i here. Wish me luck, Hopefully I'm one of the lucky ones, and everything goes smoothly. Cant wait to give an exciting update,. If there is anyone else have a June bypass or even a recent one, Id love to have someone to compare war stories with. Also, anyone near San Antonio Tx? See ya soon with the future me. 💜

I am back home after my bypass surgery in Tiajuana. I'm post op day 4. Everything went great! I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who have not encountered much pain at all, no nausea thus far and I'm having no problem keeping down broths and water. Thank you for your well wishes. I cant wait to keep up this journey and have a chance at better health and simply better quality of life. I know there will be bumps in the road ahead, and everything won't be peaches and cream, but at least I have a great start so far. 😍

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜
