terryjones 16 Posted November 26, 2017 Hello all I'm counting down the days until my Tummy Tuck ( December 21 ) what are some of the must have things i will need for a easier recovery?
fruitandveggies 456 Posted November 27, 2017 Watching my mom go through it, I'd say someone to help you! Recording when and how much of what meds is essential, and make sure the person has good handwriting (I couldn't read it at all when my dad wrote it, haha). Good luck! 2 FluffyChix and terryjones reacted to this

nurse247 74 Posted December 5, 2017 A good mental state of mind. There will be lots of ups and downs. Support is vital to healing properly. I got a raised toilet seat. It’s been a trip! 1 1234567890 reacted to this

I might have to go through that.. I see some loose skin and still have to drop 40 lbs... thanks
nurse247 74 Posted December 5, 2017 I had a lower body lift. Insurance typically only pays for a panniculectomy. They do not pay for tucks as they’re considered strictly cosmetic and not medically necessary in nature. A panniculectomy is quite different from a Tummy Tuck. I had mine in Mexico with Dr Carmina Cardenas

Olarance75 215 Posted December 19, 2017 Hi I’m five weeks out. Take your time and know the recovery is different for each person. My insision opened after 4 weeks due to tension on incision so don’t wear any low underwear. I had them on because I started my cycle and now I’m dealing with open incision that I need additional surgery in few weeks to correct. Drink plenty of Protein Shakes as your appetite will be non existent
