Patrick powers 41 Posted November 26, 2017 I'm going on 3 wks after my surgery and I was pretty much pain free that is until I sneezed a couple of days ago. It caused a very sharp and burning pain in my right side. My side has been hurting ever since. It's almost like it was right after surgery. Is it possible I tore or ripped something inside? Has anyone else had that problem?Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app

KateBruin 344 Posted November 26, 2017 I’m 3 months post op and I actually still get some pain near my incisions but in my case I think it’s nerves regenerating. At 3 weeks you probably didn’t tear snubbing, especially since it was a sneeze, not lifting heavy. But if you’re still in pain, it’s worth contacting your surgeon, his or her NP or PA.
