amybeth150 18 Posted November 25, 2017 I know this seems silly, but I don’t sleep well if I’m not on my stomach. I am 3 days out from surgery and it doesn’t hurt to lay on my stomach but I don’t want to injure myself. Anyone have any insight?
dreamingsmall 1,125 Posted November 25, 2017 I wouldn't and didn't that early.
GassyGurl 428 Posted November 25, 2017 Go for it. I have never seen a piece of medical advice advising against it. Sent from my XT1254 using BariatricPal mobile app

JeffN 106 Posted November 26, 2017 The pressure one feels is from the muscles, not the stomach. You can sleep on your stomach if you are comfortable. The only concern is pulling the sutures from the wounds themselves, not the staple line. But like all things consult your surgeon first.
Jeanette95 7 Posted November 26, 2017 Me too I asked my doctor this 2 weeks out and he laughed and told me I could sleep however I want but it’s common sense if it hurts don’t sleep a certain way
