CBBP 44 Posted January 3, 2018 Hope you are doing well!I'm getting ready. It's in less than 2 weeks. Am cleaning out my freezers and fridge to keep only useful stuff.. Takes time. And getting ready with extra Protein Powder, collagen which has no taste and amazing amounts of Protein - and of bee pollen to add to later smoothies. The powdered collagen is amazing. I tried 2 tsp in a cup of espresso coffee and no taste difference. You can add it anywhere and it raises your protein effortlessly. 1 Nancy Geoghegan reacted to this

jet818 2 Posted January 4, 2018 Best of luck and I wish you the best! I understand the whole pill thing! I take so many meds because I am bipolar and that is how this all came about for me. I still take a ton and now we have to add in the Vitamins. Best of luck to all of us on this journey!

Sent from my Moto G (5) using BariatricPal mobile appI'm getting mine done on the 10th at McGee Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA with Dr. Anita Courcoulas. For most of her patients she does not require a pre-op diet!
RunningLibrarian 17 Posted January 4, 2018 Still waiting to hear my surgery date, doc said end of January/beginning of February, can’t wait!!! That's the same general timeframe I was given! I have my final appointment with the surgeon on January 15... That's when I will get my date.
shelly420 59 Posted January 4, 2018 I'm in my hospital room right now, awaiting surgery in Puerto Vallarta Mexico (Dr Armando Joya). This will either be the best or worst decision of my life. I predict the best. Sent from my SM-N950U1 using BariatricPal mobile app 1 angyplus5 reacted to this
shelly420 59 Posted January 4, 2018 Sure exciting and mildly annoying just bc I worked hasrd t o get everything accomplished so it could be done in Dec and now it is looking like Jan... we shall seeSent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile appI wish my insurance would pay, but at least there were no hoops for me to jump through being private pay. I decided in December to have surgery and it was booked the same day I asked, and now surgery is today. It's scary how easy it was but I am very confident in my surgeons skills, and I know I need this to be healthy. In hindsight I almost wish I had those hoops to jump through because I'm kind of regretting not being more prepared for it. I'm a "fly by the seat of your pants" kind of person apparently.Sent from my SM-N950U1 using BariatricPal mobile app
