Marcy13 0 Posted November 24, 2017 My surgeon told me to switch to an acetaminophen (Tylenol type) pain reliever to avoid stomach upset after surgery. Should it be a liqui-gel or gelcap, or are caplets and tablets okay?
apu 84 Posted November 24, 2017 It doesn't matter, any of the acetaminophen preparations are fine. 1 Marcy13 reacted to this
GwennyPenny 108 Posted November 24, 2017 I think it depends on what you can swallow. I found round tablets a bit big and kind or dry but the long ones or caps were fine. If you start out on opioids like oxycodone or codeine just be mindful of Constipation even if they didn't do it to you Pre surgery they might now. I was also told to stay away from all NSAIDs like nurofen voltarin celebrex etc as they can cause ulcers. Taylor5 98 Posted November 24, 2017 @Marcy13 I found a liquid Tylenol on Amazon I was thinking of getting. I don't know if it will be necessary or not, but was thinking it might be good to have just in case. It is for adults, not for kids 2 GwennyPenny and Marcy13 reacted to this
