Janet610 76 Posted November 25, 2017 Three and a half months post sleeve here... down 83lbs (SO MUCH more to go) Struggling with Water intake, even when I flavor it. Just joined the fitness center at the hospital I had my surgery so hopefully that will keep me progressing.Have had no sweets, but did have small scoop of stuffing and mashed potatoes on Thursday. Love hearing everyone’s success/struggles/worries/victories. It truly is a journey and it’s so nice to not travel alone!! I don't feel great today, but don't think I did any damaged and will not be testing myself again. The reason I post this confession here is that thickgirl5683 is waiting a year to try a sweet and I couldn't make it 3 days without trying a taste of food. You are inspiring and reminding me what I should be doing. I am a cook, and as I was doing food prep, I popped a Zucchini piece in my mouth and ate it a few days after surgery. I was freaking out for about a week. It happens just check your Temperature to make sure it does not go above 100 f. To make sure you did not cause a leak. DK 39 Posted November 25, 2017 Hi all. I'm reading about all these struggles with sweets. Honestly there's a lot of stuff out there with sugar substitute that are actually pretty good. I made pumpkin pie without crust and used Splenda instead of sugar. It was so good and I couldn't tell the difference. There's so many things you can enjoy. If your craving ice cream there's a brand called Enlightened. It's high Protein and no sugar. It's ok to have a treat especially with the alternatives available. Just try to get the sugar free stuff.
