erd 7 Posted November 24, 2017 I am just over 2 months post-op, I had one okay sized piece of turkey, one small scoop of potatoes (small kid spoon size), one small scoop on cranberries and a bite of a roll and I’m uncomfortably full... 1 Jeanette95 reacted to this

I am still at the soft food stage. I had turkey (dark meat because it is more tender) mashed potatoes and some dressing. I ate very little and had no issues. I did feel very tired afterwards. It is the most carbs I have had in 5 weeks so I am sure my body was like "what the hell". All in total I ate about 3/4 of a cup of food. I did have a small piece (3 bites) of Sugar Free Chocolate pie. I mainly just ate the pudding without the crust. The day was fine for me- at 5 weeks out my mindset has DRASTICALLY changed about food. It's unbelievable. Whenever I got it in my head that I wanted more I just reminded myself that I was 30 pounds down today and it just wasn't worth it. At this stage in the game I know when I am hungry and when my head is hungry 😋 1 Jeanette95 reacted to this
Sullie06 1,013 Posted November 27, 2017 I'm glad everyone got through the holiday okay. I'm 11 months post op so I had a little different situation as I could eat what ever I want. I tried to stick to my plan as much as possible. I had turkey and then a little bit of yams, broccoli casserole, stuffing and cranberry sauce. I shared a piece of cornbread with my 4 year old and I did have a few bites of pumpkin pie that I shared with my daughter. All in all everything went well. 1 Jeanette95 reacted to this
