GreenTealael 25,430 Posted November 21, 2017 Hi all, I decided right before my surgery (11/7/17) that I would not purchase a scale. I figured I will be weighed when it truly matters (in office ) and I would focus all of my attention on NSV. So far it feels wonderful not worrying about numbers and it allows me to build different goals like meal planning, Water intake challenges and walking goals. I think I will only buy a scale if my doctor recommends . Anyone else on a similar path?
LifesGood 3 Posted November 21, 2017 Yes I agree I don't have a scale I don't want to purchase one and it's simply because I've watched so many people get discouraged to the point they were in tears because of weight gain and they start to regret the surgery and it turns into a psychological thing and I don't want to deal with that and I've never been a person that looked at the scale so I don't have a problem with not having a scaleSent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app 1 GreenTealael reacted to this
tdwrightnj 16 Posted November 21, 2017 I'm right there with ya. I've never been concerned with the number as much as I've been concerned about my health and how I feel. Since my surgery, 10.16.17, I've been weighed twice; once at the doctor's office and once at Rite Aid just because I was curious. I see a lot of people live by the scale and I don't want that for me. Best of luck on your weight loss journeySent from my SM-N920T using BariatricPal mobile app
