Ok now I’ve been eating yogurts constantly like about 3 or 4 a day and small pieces of baked chicken, is that bad? It’s like I get hungry every couple hours and I know it’s not real hunger so I try to ignore it and drink Water.< /p>

102316..Where are you in your journey? It's hard to give advice when we don't know where you're at. Your profile says you are pre-op, but it sounds like you may be post -op now. If you are post op you should have instructions from your surgeon on your diet progression over the weeks post op.

I don't know what your specific plan calls for, so you should refer to your NUT on whether it is okay to be eating meat at this point. As far as having 4 servings of yogurt per day goes, it really depends on type of yogurt and the amount that you are consuming. I would try to eat the lowest sugar greek yogurt that you could find. I don't tend to eat it at all, because even the lowest sugar yogurt I can find has too much for my taste.

Your overall numbers for the day are what matters. Are you getting enough Protein, calories low enough, getting all the right Vitamins and minerals (avoiding/minimizing sugar)

As long as you're doing that and not suffering any side effects/problems (ie nauseous vomiting pain ) then however you're doing it shouldn't really matter that much.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
