I don't touch them at all. Not because of what anyone says but because I don't want to get back on them. It took me a while to break the habit. I refuse to do it again.

This X 100.

Carbonation can make you feel like crap, but this idea that it's going to stretch your stomach back out to its original size is silly. I had a bad diet pop addition prior to surgery, but once I gave it up I haven't wanted to go back. I have no doubts part of the improvement in my overall wellbeing is kicking that from my diet. There are times I miss it, but it's that same feeling I had when I quit smoking years ago. My life is fine without it and despite having an oddball craving from time to time it isn't a big deal anymore.

In regards to carbonation I have had a beer here and there. The carbonation doesn't seem to bother me, but it also takes forever to get even half a glass down. It would be a different story if I tried to drink a beer at the same pace as Water. If I drank fast it would make me feel miserable.

I drink carbonated beverages now, no issues but I do so in moderation. Occasionally some seltzer or diet soda depending on my situation. Also I've had Mimosa's twice at brunch. I say do what feels best for you, within your doctors guidelines. For some carbonation might be a big trigger or cause discomfort and for others it might not.

I drink them every once in a while and I only drink maybe half a cup over a long period of time. I also let it flatten out in my mouth, which isn't great for teeth 🤷🏻‍♀️. I would not suggest drinking it if it was a trigger in the past because of the potential calories and zero nutritional benefits it has.

I drink maybe 1 Diet Coke a week and the occasional soda Water. Carbonation is totally fine with me, it just makes me burp. But I’m also fine with straws. Accidentally started using them within 1 week post op.

Carbonation will not stretch your sleeve. In fact, much research says stretching it is a myth, period.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
