Spiritus 0 Posted October 20, 2007 Hello everybody! My name is Vikki and I had my Lap Band surgery on Oct 15 at Cedars Sinai by Dr Scott Cunneen. I am happy that I did not chicken out as I was really scared in the pre-op room. My surgeon found and fixed a "large" hernia (8cm) and they discovered that I am also a diabetic. Diabetic enough to warrant an insulin shot every six hours. My recovery so far has been surprisingly easy. Must easier than I expected. I see my new AP band as a true blessing because without my surgery I would've never known about my above medical issues let alone my apnea.
