plumptofit 6 Posted November 17, 2017 I get my surgery date December 13, and I’m a bit nervous. I’ve read so many great success stories but what I’m scared most of all is of the dumping or loosing too much weight. I’m already starting with a low BMI of 33. But all my health issues (with type 2 diabetes being most important) is what keeps me from steering myself away from surgery.
Luisajfc 402 Posted November 17, 2017 I’m happy for ya, and remember you control what you loose too is not all the bypass, when you reaching your desirable weight increase your calories. Or build muscle. So don’t be afraid of it. I’m doing it for almost the same reason, mine is just a bad history. “There will be obstacles. There will be doubters. There will be mistakes. I have a ton of other qualifying health conditions as well, but I have a 1 year old daughter and I want to be healthy for her and not worrying about having to battle with diabetes! Thanks for the great advice about increasing calories and building muscle! Will look into that once I’ve reached my goal!

Hi there - we are (sort of) surgery twins - my surgery is 14th in New Zealand, which is 13th in most of USA still! My BMI is not as low but in the lower end too. Good luck - I look forward to having someone to share post op recovery and then weight-loss journey stories with. Edited November 17, 2017 by Biddynz
