Best workout pants?

Recommended Posts

I am hoping there might be someone out there that can help. I have trouble with workout pants that will stay up when I work out. I carry most of my weight in my stomach. Anyone with similar problem that has found a good brand of workout pants they can suggest?

I love the Avia brand leggings at Walmart. They have a horizontal waist band, and a drawstring. For me, I can pull them up over my belly and they stay up fine.

You might not be a fan of this financially but Lululemon or Athleta is my workout wardrobe. I also hold my weight in my stomach and my pants stay up through HIIT workouts. Athleta will actually be having 20% off everything starting Black Friday. Lululemon also has regular sales plus there’s resale Facebook groups.

If you are talking about yoga pants:

Joking aside, what type of workouts are you doing? After going through quite a few types of shorts and pants in the gym, I've found that the ones that give me the fullest range of motion and the most comfortable of all are the old fashion fruit of the loom jogging pants. They are not a fashion statement by any means, but they work the best for me. On shorts, avoid the wicking material. While they are stretchy to an extent, they bunch up in weird ways on squats.

I just bought a pair of some type of athletic style leggings from Old Navy that are very nice and stay up over my belly.

The ones I bought "shined", almost looked see through [emoji15] Ask a friend to check you out while wearing them. Or wear a looong t-shirt over them. I was SO EMBARRASSED! Id like to save you from that [emoji4]

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
