Jeanette95 7 Posted November 15, 2017 I need help this might be silly but I’m cleared to have yogurt and I read a lot of people here don’t eat strawberries because of the little seeds getting stuck in the staples causing a leak my yogurt has strawberries in it and I’m kinda freaking out here 1 Nancy MBGC reacted to this
dreamingsmall 1,125 Posted November 15, 2017 If yogurt with strawberries freak you out. Consider eating a yogurt without strawberries? 1 Jeanette95 reacted to this
dreamingsmall 1,125 Posted November 15, 2017 Are you dealing with anxiety? 1 Nancy MBGC reacted to this
KDBaker 70 Posted November 15, 2017 I've had both yogurt and cottage cheese with strawberries and had no problems. I think you'll be fine.
sockigal 12 Posted November 15, 2017 One of my staples is Icelandic Plain Yogurt from Trader Joe's. It has 22 grams of Protein per container and not much sugar. I add canned fruits, like peaches mashed up or applesauce. Before surgery I was adding blueberries & strawberries. My diet doesn't allow fresh fruits or veggies for the first month post op. I guess it's had to digest without it being canned or cooked.
Jeanette95 7 Posted November 15, 2017 Thanks I realize it was silly I think I had anxiety thank you for your input
KDBaker 70 Posted November 15, 2017 It's not silly, at least not in my opinion. I think if it were fresh strawberries it might be difficult to digest. But since strawberry yogurt doesn't usually have fresh strawberries it seems fine. At least it didn't cause me any issues. 1 Nancy MBGC reacted to this
dreamingsmall 1,125 Posted November 15, 2017 Having this surgery causes alot of anxiety for alot of us. Me being one of them. So I wasn't asking in an offensive way. But I wanted to help you.. if that was the case. We just want to do everything right. So for me alot of 'silly stuff' made me anxious. But it's important we are aware so we don't get carried away. But valid question 1 Jeanette95 reacted to this
